Over the past few months we’ve been working on a number of ways to improve the level of service we give to our customers.

So far we have…



…Introduced our new customer contact software

We want to keep you up to date with what is going on at Sport Sheffield but want to make sure that what we have to say is relevant to you. Our new customer contact software will allow us to do that as it gives you the power to tell us what you want to hear about so it’s not all or nothing…!



…Launched our automated telephone system

We have introduced our automated telephone answering system to ensure that customers can get quick answers to questions such as swimming pool opening times as well as allowing you to get through to correct area within Sport Sheffield more easily. Our main number is still the same (0114 222 6999) and, of course, you can still choose to speak to a Customer Service Advisor by choosing Option 7!



…Online Membership

In the very near future we will be launching our new online membership system. This means you can say goodbye to the queues and sign up in your own time in the comfort of, well, anywhere you choose! Online membership will still offer all the same deals and offers as always without the hassle of coming down and filling out your forms in person!



…Updated Online Booking System

We will also be introducing a new and improved online booking system to make booking facilities even easier. Using the feedback we have received from all customers about our current system we have tailor built a new system incorporating all the features you asked for, some of the changes will include:

•Fitness Class cancellations
•PayPal payments for fast checkouts
•Simplified Login - Students with a University login will be able to login with their University accounts.
•Faster user experience with a simpler step by step experience

All this and more!



…Removed the need for compulsory gym inductions

We realise that many people have now been to a variety of gyms and are happy to ‘get in and get on’ with it. In recognition of this we will shortly be removing the need to make all new members have a compulsory induction.


We will always offer you the opportunity to have an induction (and don’t forget reassessments are still part of the membership package) as this is still the best way to get your membership started. But if you are eager to get moving now you can!
